What polished concrete means in Las Vegas

It runs through a sequence of diamond grits, usually with a densifier applied partway, which hardens the surface chemically so the finer grits can bring up a polish.

Gloss level is a choice on a scale from a matte honed finish to a high gloss. Exposure level is a separate choice: cream leaves the paste, salt and pepper shows fine aggregate, and full exposure shows the stone.

Existing cracks and holes are filled with a matching grout before the finer passes, so the fill is polished at the same time as the slab.
