The slab is cleaned and profiled, cracks are treated, and a bonding coat goes down before the textured layer is sprayed and then knocked down with a trowel.
The knock-down pass sets both the texture and the comfort. Too aggressive and it is rough on feet, too flat and it stops being cool or slip resistant.
