Las Vegas Elite Concrete A coating is a film on top of the slab, so everything about whether it lasts is decided by preparation and by moisture, not by the product in the tin. Free on-site quote, usually within two working days.

The main families are epoxy, polyaspartic, polyurethane and acrylic. Epoxy is hard and cheap and yellows in sun. Polyaspartic cures in hours, stays flexible and holds up to UV. Acrylic is thin and cheap and is a sealer more than a coating.
Thickness is measured in mils and it is the honest measure of what you are buying. A rolled-on acrylic is a fraction of the build of a broadcast polyaspartic system.
Coatings in the valley face UV that breaks down epoxy and surface temperatures that lift it under hot tyres, which is why polyaspartic and polyurethane dominate here.
The slab is ground or shot-blasted to an open profile. This is the step that gets skipped and it is the reason coatings fail.
Moisture is tested. A slab with no vapour barrier beneath it will push moisture through the film and blister it, and the fix is a moisture-tolerant primer specified from a reading.
Cracks and spalls are repaired with material that cures hard enough to grind flush, then the whole surface is ground again so the repairs and the slab are one plane.
Broadcast flake or quartz gives texture as well as appearance, and on an exterior or wet surface that texture is a slip-resistance requirement rather than a decoration.
Priced per square foot by system and build thickness. The gap between a cheap roll-on and a full broadcast system is mostly preparation and solids, which is also the whole difference in lifespan.
Priced per square foot by system and build thickness, with the preparation as the line that decides the lifespan.
Any coating over a slab that was not mechanically profiled will release. Not immediately, and not everywhere, which is what makes it look like a product problem instead of a preparation problem.
A valley slab poured directly on caliche with no vapour barrier can still push moisture into a coating, so testing before ordering material is not a formality.
We cover Las Vegas, Henderson, North Las Vegas and the wider Clark County valley, including and 34 more areas.
Preparation or moisture. An unground surface, or vapour pushing up through a slab with no barrier under it.
Polyaspartic or polyurethane for UV stability. Epoxy yellows and chalks in direct sun.
Not without testing and a moisture-tolerant primer chosen from the reading.
